Prop Firm Calculator
Work out what one funded account costs you on average, what the profit split pays at your monthly return, and how long it takes to earn the fees back. Pick a firm to fill in its own prices and split, or enter your own numbers.
Your numbers
The funded account's starting balance.
Per attempt for a one-time fee, per month for a subscription. List price before any discount code.
Your own estimate of passing one attempt. Firms rarely publish pass rates, so no figure is filled in for you.
Your share of the profit on the funded account.
Average profit per month on the funded account, as a percentage of its size.
How many months of payouts to add up.
The pass chance and monthly return start at example values. Replace them with your own: they decide the result.

What the calculator tells you
A prop firm evaluation is a fee you may pay more than once. The calculator spreads that fee over the attempts it takes on average at your pass chance, then sets it against what the profit split pays at your monthly return. The result is the average cost of one funded account, the payout per month, how many months it takes to earn the fees back, and what is left after the months you choose.
How it works
Four lines of arithmetic, all from your inputs:
Average cost per funded account = price per attempt / pass chance. Payout per month = account size x monthly return x split. Break-even = average cost / payout per month. Net = payout per month x funded months - average cost.
A monthly subscription costs its price for every month an attempt runs, so the calculator multiplies the monthly price by the months you expect to pay. A one-time fee is paid once per attempt. Cost per $1K divides the price by the account size, so a cheap small account and an expensive large one can be compared.
A worked example
A $100,000 evaluation at $500 one-time, with a 25% pass chance, costs on average $2,000 before one account is funded (4 attempts). At a 2% monthly return and an 80% split, the account pays $1,600 a month, so the fees are earned back in about 1.3 months and 12 funded months net $17,200. Halve the return to 1% and break-even moves to 2.5 months; halve the pass chance and the average cost doubles. The inputs decide everything, which is why none of them is filled in as a typical figure.
What it leaves out
Activation fees charged after passing, reset fees, discount codes, refunds of the evaluation fee with the first payout, payout caps and minimums, consistency rules that delay a payout, losing months that reset or breach an account, and tax. Each firm's profile lists its own rules on these, with sources.
Where the firm data comes from
Firm prices and profit splits come from our Prop Rules Database: each value is read from the firm's own published pages and carries the date we checked it. Only firms whose profile has passed our content review are listed, and only programmes with a one-time or monthly evaluation price. Prices change often, so confirm on the firm's site before you pay.
For illustration only. Prop firm accounts are simulated, payouts depend on each firm's rules and its decision to pay, and past or assumed returns say nothing about future results. This is not financial advice.
Questions
Is this how much I will earn with a prop firm?
No. The calculator only multiplies the numbers you enter. Your real result depends on whether you pass, how the funded account performs month to month, and each firm's payout rules. Use it to compare costs and to see which assumption matters most.
Why do I have to enter my own pass chance?
Firms rarely publish verifiable pass rates, and an average across all traders says little about you. The pass chance has the biggest effect on the cost per funded account: halving it doubles the average cost, so it is worth testing a few values.
How is a monthly subscription handled?
A monthly evaluation costs its price for every month you keep it running, so one attempt costs the monthly price times the months you expect to need. A one-time fee is charged once per attempt.
Which profit split does the calculator use for a firm?
The programme's base split, as the firm states it. Where the firm offers a higher split after scaling or for a paid add-on, the page says so and you can type the higher figure in.
What is cost per $1K of funding?
The evaluation price divided by the account size, times 1,000. It shows how much each $1,000 of account size costs per attempt, so accounts of different sizes and firms can be compared on price.
Why is a firm or programme missing?
The list shows firms whose profile has passed our content review, and only programmes with a one-time or monthly evaluation price. Programmes paid only after passing, or with other billing, are not in the calculator yet. You can still enter their numbers by hand.
