Best crypto prop firms, compared on weekend and risk rules

Crypto trades every day of the week while each firm sets its own account rules, so the table below compares the top 3 on weekend holding, loss limits and price per $1K.

Our top 3 crypto prop firms are The5ers, E8 Markets, and Blue Guardian, chosen on several factors, such as our editorial score, fit for crypto trading, cost per $1,000 and years in business. Facts checked up to October 26, 2026.

Each row reads the firm's crypto programmes only, the accounts that list crypto among their markets, so the firm's other programmes do not change its price or drawdown here. The date of our last check is on each row.

How we picked these firms

We shortlist the firms whose published rules suit crypto trading, then order them by a score that takes several factors into account, such as our editorial score, how well their rules fit crypto trading, their cost per $1,000 of funding and their years in business.

How the score works

Can you hold crypto trades over the weekend at a prop firm?

Crypto keeps trading on Saturday and Sunday, so the weekend holding rule decides whether a crypto position can stay open while the forex and index markets of the same account are shut. Of the firms with a crypto programme, weekend holding is allowed on at least one programme at 9, restricted at 3 and prohibited at 3; a firm with several programmes can appear in more than one count. In the firms' records, a restriction is typically a default close on Friday afternoon that a paid add-on lifts, and the rule can differ between crypto and the other instruments of the account. Crypto prices keep moving while the rest of the account is closed, and the loss limits keep counting, so a weekend move can end an account. The weekend bars under the table give each listed firm's recorded rule; which instruments it covers is on the firm's rules page.

How much leverage do prop firms give on crypto?

Where a firm's terms give a separate crypto figure, it is a small fraction of its forex leverage, so the headline leverage of an account, which usually refers to forex, says little about crypto. That is why this guide has no leverage column: our records hold one leverage figure per programme, and for most programmes it is the forex one. Lower leverage means a larger margin for each position, so a crypto trade of the same size ties up more of the account, and the largest position you can open is smaller. It also changes how fast a position reaches the daily loss limit, since crypto prices can move several percent in a day. The instrument specifications page of the firm lists the leverage of each instrument class, usually with the contract size and the trading hours, and it is the page to read before you plan position sizes on a crypto account.

Which programmes do crypto prop firms offer?

Of the firms with a crypto programme, a one-step evaluation that lists crypto is sold by 10, a two-step one by 9 and an instant-funding account, which skips the evaluation and is priced differently, by 5. A one-step evaluation has a single profit target, while a two-step one splits the target across two stages. On at least one crypto programme, a static maximum loss, measured from the opening balance only, is recorded by 10 of the firms; an end-of-day trailing limit appears at 3 and an intraday trailing one, which also counts unrealised crypto gains, at 2. A best profit split of 90% or more is recorded by 11. Most of these programmes also list forex and indices, so the price per $1K in the table is usually the price of a multi-asset account rather than a crypto-only one. Each firm's profile lists every programme with its markets.

Frequently asked

What is a crypto prop firm?

A prop firm whose programmes let you trade crypto, usually Bitcoin, Ether and other large coins quoted against the dollar, on a simulated account under the firm's rules, with a share of the profits paid under its payout terms. FundedFast compares these firms as a publisher; it is not a prop firm, a broker or an exchange.

Do you own the coins you trade at a crypto prop firm?

No. The accounts are simulated: you trade crypto prices under the firm's rules, nothing is bought on an exchange in your name, and what you can receive is a share of the profits under the firm's payout terms, not coins.

Do crypto prop firms restrict news trading?

Of the firms in this guide, news trading is restricted on at least one crypto programme at 10 and allowed on at least one at 3. The restrictions are written around scheduled economic releases, and the firm's rules page says whether they also cover crypto positions.

FundedFast is a publisher, not a broker, and is not regulated by any financial authority. Nothing on this page is investment advice, and a prop firm challenge is a fee-based evaluation, not an investment. Figures come from each firm's own published terms on the dates shown, and firms change their rules, so check the firm's page before you pay.
